About Mode Comfort
Mode Comfort & Air Quality is a fully-licensed and insured limited liability company owned by G. Todd Rice, serving Richmond, Virginia, and the surrounding areas, including Powhatan, Midlothian, Chesterfield, and Moseley.
Todd began his career in the HVAC industry in 1994, honing his expertise at a well-respected, locally-owned HVAC company. Todd holds several high-level tradesman licenses, including Master HVAC, Master Gasfitter, Master Natural Gas, and Master Liquid Propane. He holds his Class A contractor’s license. Todd is recognized in the HVAC community as an expert trouble-shooter and the go-to technician for difficult situations.
Through the years, Todd noticed that an entire market was not being served by the heating and cooling industry in central Virginia, namely those customers who expect high-quality workmanship, trustworthy workmen, and promises kept. To fill that void, he established Mode in 2007.
Our Promise
At Mode Comfort & Air Quality, we think it is time for a change in the heating and air conditioning industry. Undoubtedly, you have had HVAC workmen come to your home, probably arriving much later than promised, leave your house a mess, and not even complete the job. That scenario is not the “Mode” in which we operate.
Since 1994, proprietor G. Todd Rice has witnessed how many other HVAC companies do business; this experience taught him what he did NOT want his own HVAC company to do and helped him to create the Mode Comfort & Air Quality promise: The Mode Comfort & Air Quality salesman sent to your home to quote your job will not be a salesman at all. He will be an experienced HVAC professional who truly knows what work needs to be done. He will not sell the job for the sake of selling the job. He will suggest what is best for your specific needs. Mode Comfort & Air Quality will not compromise on equipment quality or safety. “Cutting corners” is not a part of our work ethic. We understand the importance of a job well done and will strive to create customer loyalty by delivering on our promises. Any job installed by Mode Comfort & Air Quality will include the most efficient, lowest maintenance equipment possible and create minimal environmental impact.
The Mode technicians sent to your home will be polite and respectful to you as the homeowner. We are not doing you a favor by showing up. We are there to do a job and we will do so in the most professional manner possible. We will ask you what you expect from Mode, and in opposition from what you have most likely experienced in the past, we will deliver it. Any employee of Mode is committed to call or arrive when promised. We do not expect you to wait all day for our technicians to arrive. If a Mode associate is behind schedule, you will be alerted ahead of time.
